I’m Phil Odence and I run with no shoes. I started this blog in 2010 focused solely on my experiences ramping up as a barefoot runner, but have since branched out into whatever subjects that interest me.

Back to barefoot running for a moment, I still do it. I’ve essentially not worn shoes to run since I started without; yes even in the winter. The first 12 or 18 months of content remain good guidance to which I would point anyone interested in or starting barefoot running.

By about mid-2011, however, I kind of ran out of things to say about barefoot running. I then shifted to subjects of eating and diet. Therein too is some great content for anyone interested in weight control.

As of 2016, I resurrected the blog with a much broader mandate…but obviously kept the name.
